Using a horse and carriage gives participants an alternative or an addition to riding, opening up a world of horses to those who may not want to or are unable to ride.
Private Carriage Driving Lessons
Carriage driving is fun because it combines history, nature, and competition, with activities like leisurely trail drives, the elegant challenge of driven dressage, and the high-energy test of combined driving. You can enjoy it recreationally by driving on trails or competing in events that test the horse’s and driver’s precision, skill, and fitness.
Driving is such a fun way to enjoy horses; whether you’re an experienced equestrian or a beginner just starting out.
The Carriage Driving Lessons also use the Learning Levels essential horse care and carriage driving curricula. The curriculum gives students clear, achievable milestones and allows instructors, students, and parents a way to measure achievement.
Lessons are all inclusive: you will learn how to harness, how to hook up the horse to the cart, and how to drive the single equine.
Private lessons are $40 per hour for children ages 10 years & older, and adults of all ages.
